ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Darton College cross country teams look to end a record breaking season by breaking more school records in the national junior college meet this weekend in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Darton men and women cross country teams swept the region meet for the second straight year.
Head coach David Mann believes both squads can post their best showings at nationals based on their performance this season.
The Darton teams have won every junior college meet they have competed and fared well in meets with four-year schools.
The biggest battle at nationals could be for the school record.
The three year old record was first broken at a meet in Sparatnburg early in the season and Adam Ross set the record at the region meet two weeks ago.
Coach Mann says the friendly competition is good for the entire team.
David Mann said. "It genuinely pushes the guys. You can see it. They are very competitive with each other. At the end of the day they are all teammates and good sports about it.
The NJCAA Cross-Country meet is Saturday.
