VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta State can win the Gulf South Conference football title outright by winning the regular season finale Thursday night at West Alabama.
The Blazers will likely also clinch a first round playoff bye."When we walked into the locker room after the game I think they felt that. I told them you have earned a share of the Gulf South Conference. I didn't get the kind of reaction I was expecting. It was oh like well that is good. So, I knew then that our guys weren't satisfied with a share. They wanted it all."

After clinching a share of the title last week against West Georgia, head coach David Dean believes his team is not yet satisfied with what they have accomplished this season.
David Dean said.
