ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany Police say a Lee County man found dead in an Albany motel room committed suicide.
Two cleaning staff workers found the 51 year old Matthews Edwards on the floor of his room at the Hampton Inn near the Albany mall a little before noon Tuesday.
Police say he checked in to the motel Saturday. Police had originally called the death suspicious.
