ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany business is recognized world wide for the products its produces.  Lawson Industries received the 2010 SEMA Global Media Award for new engineered products.

Their winning product, the Qwik-Cat Spun Catalytic Converter beat out more than 2,000 other new products.

Owner Michael Lawson says the whole company shares in the award, and when the company wins, Albany wins, too.

"Every year we have grown five to ten jobs here at Lawson Industries and being that this is our only location here in Albany Georgia. We love it here and we're able to put more people to work here because of the trade show and going and bringing on new products," said Michael Lawson.

Lawson Industries has an eleven year history in Albany. The company makes various under car parts including muffler clamps and more.
