VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –  Valdosta resident Antonio Jose Cooks, 31, is under arrest for the robbery of the Super 8 Motel at 1825 W. Hill Avenue in Valdosta.

Here is the official report from VPD:

The Valdosta Police Department received information from the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office that developed Antonio Jose Cooks as a suspect in the robbery at the Super 8 Motel which occurred on November 8, 2010.

On Tuesday evening, November 9, 2010, Cooks came to the Valdosta Police Department to be interviewed by Detectives with the Valdosta Police Department Investigations Bureau.

Information given by the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office and information developed during the subsequent investigation and interview, led to Cooks being arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail.

Cooks is being charged with Robbery by Force-Strong Arm and Battery. The Valdosta Police Department would like to thank the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office for their assistance in this case, which led to the arrest of Cooks.
