MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) – Moultrie Police want you to take a look at surveillance video of an armed robbery at a grocery store.
It happened Monday night at Oxley's Grocery on West Central Avenue in Moultrie. Police hope someone can identify the two gunmen.
Around 9 o'clock Monday night, the robbers forced two clerks to the ground, while one of them swiped the money bag. Detectives say this robbery is similar to one that happened at the same store back in March.
"They seemed to know exactly where they were going. They seemed to know where the money was. Whether it was the same guys as last time, we can't say. I think one of the ways the community can help, they may recognize, they may not be able to see their face, but they might be able to recognize the way they move, the way they carry themselves," said Cpl. Dave Underwood, Moultrie Police Department.
No one was hurt, and police don't know how much money was stolen. The pair got in and out of the store in about 15 seconds.
If you recognize the two men, call the Moultrie Police Tip line at (229) 890-5451.
