ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Georgia State Patrol troopers are teaming up with the Marines, to make sure all kids have a Merry Christmas, and they are asking you to help.

All 48 Georgia State Patrol posts across the state have collection boxes for the Toys for Tots Program teaming up with the Marine Corps Reserves program again this year.

Many of the state top Troopers are former Marines, and say they know firsthand the great impact helping others has during the holidays.

"You know the economy is so bad. We did it last year also. We're trying to help unfortunate families that are not able to furnish toys for their kids," Troopers Sgt. Shawn Urquhart.

You can donate new and unwrapped toys at any GSP post between the hours of 9:00 to 4:00 weekdays, and they will all go to make a Merry Christmas for children in need through the Toys for Tots program.

You can help the program when you click HERE.
