ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  The top floor of Darton's student center was transformed into countries across the globe as students got a taste of cultures from International students who attend Darton College.

More than two dozen different countries from Asia to South America were represented at the Darton College International Festival.

Students got a taste of different foods from around the globe and experienced a fashion show of traditional clothing worn in many of the counties.

Organizers say it gives students from Albany an chance to learn a little more about the background of International students sitting with them in class.

"Many of the students from Albany have maybe never been outside of Albany so it's a really good chance for them to really meet people from all over the world and explore different cultures," said International Festival Coordinator Diana Garner.

Students and teachers performed dances and music from their native lands.
