ALBANY, GA (WALB) - It was a memorable weekend for one special young lady at Westover High school. Ericka Taylor won the GHSA AAA State Championship in cross country on Saturday. The 5k race featured 208 girls from all over the state of Georgia.

Taylor is just the 4th runner in the history of the school to win an individual state title. The 16 year old says it was her family and coach that willed her to victory.
Taylor said "I trained so hard and I wanted to win bad enough that I pushed myself when I got to the race."
To celebrate Henry says she went shopping.
