LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) –We have new details Thursday on a man rescued after a trench collapse in Lowndes County Wednesday afternoon.

19-year old Morgan Tyson remains hospitalized, but he has been moved from intensive care to a regular hospital room.

He suffered injuries to his lungs and ribs when a trench caved in as worked to extend sewer lines on Highway 41.

He was trapped for more than hour.

Rescue workers pulled him out shortly after three o'clock yesterday and rushed him to the emergency room.

We called the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to ask about the accident.

They told us they hadn't been informed but now that they know about it, they will investigate.
