ALBANY, GA (WALB) –

A Westover High school guidance counselor is on paid leave following her DUI arrest Halloween. Police say she seriously injured a woman while driving a golf cart drunk.

Dougherty County Police searched for this golf cart for several days before it was finally turned over to them. It is now impounded, still covered with Halloween decorations.

40 year old Catherine Chandler was released Sunday on $4100 bond after being charged with D-U-I, reckless driving, and injury to a person by vehicle.

The victim, 32-year-old Christal Potter, underwent surgery for leg fractures.

Police say they are still investigating the crash, which happened at a block party in the Doublegate neighborhood on Pendleton Street, with an estimated 300 people in the street.
