Huge Stakes in Fountain City Classic

COLUMBUS, GA (WALB) - Rivals Albany State and Fort Valley State understand what is on the line in Saturday's Fountain City Classic in Columbus.

e winner of this game will win the SIAC championship.hat is way it should be. End of the year and it is on the line. Both teams are ready to go. No excuses.


A win for the Rams will also secure the number one seed in the super region two rankings.

That would give Albany State a first round bye and guarantee the Rams would be at home for the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Fort Valley State is currently seventh in the first weekly regional rankings.

The Wildcats know they have to win Saturday to become one of the six teams in the region to make the playoffs.

The Fountain City Classic starts at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Columbus.
