ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Albany State University students were at the polls Tuesday, wanting to know more about how people voted.

ASU's political science students conducted exit polls at several locations including the Palmyra Road United Methodist Church.

They're looking for voting patterns, while taking into consideration the history of how people vote. Voters were asked about a dozen questions.

"We're asking them things such as who are they voting for, like for certain offices and then there are certain taxes that are being voted upon in Albany and we're asking them about that,' said ASU student Johnny Hollis.

ASU's political science students will tally their results. They'll also share the information with local government officials.
