ALBANY, GA (WALB) -The Albany Panthers have resigned some crucial members from last year's playoff squad. Demetrie McCray (DB), Terry McGhee (DB), Derrick Wimbush (FB), John Harris (WR) and Antowntis Cutts (WR) all signed on the dotted line on Monday locking up the leaders in both sides of the ball.
Head coach Lucious Davis expressed the importance of having his core guys stick around
Coach Davis said "It was very important to keep experienced guys around. It's less teaching and its good for the leadership for the younger guys we bring in."
He says he also hopes to bring back more players in the coming weeks.
