THOMAS COUNTY, GA (WALB) –Investigators say a Thomas County man hit his girlfriend in the face with the butt of a rifle.
Deputies say 32-year old Marcelo Morales and his girlfriend were fighting when two other men in the house came to check on them.
Morales went to a bedroom, came back with a rifle, and hit the victim in the nose. He then told the men they couldn't leave.
He is charged with the following:
Aggravated assault x 2 Aggravated battery family violence Aggravated assault family violence Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime Kidnapping x 3 Cruelty to children 3rd degree x2 (because there were children in the room at the time of the incident)
Morales also has a hold for immigration services and is being held at the Thomas County jail.
