ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  An outdoor Halloween party in Albany ended with a woman in the hospital with serious injuries after police she was struck by a golf cart, which was driven by a suspected drunk driver.

Dougherty County Police say 40-year-old Catherine Chandler was driving her golf cart on Pendleton Street in the Doublegate neighborhood with no headlights around nine o'clock Saturday night when she struck 32-year-old Chrystal Potter.

Potter was taken to Phoebe Putney Hospital with leg injuries. Officials say children were in the area and it could have been much worse if a child was hit.

Chandler is charged with DUI, Serious Injury by Vehicle, and reckless driving.
