DECATUR COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

By LeiLani Golden - bio | email

DECATUR, GA (WALB) –Decatur County investigators say an arson suspect arrested Thursday morning is not responsible for a dozen Black Jack fires.

They say 19-year old Dontavious Hicks and his girlfriend were driving down Cool Springs Road in Faceville when they got in a fight.

She kicked him out of the car and he took shelter from the rain at an abandoned house.

Authorities say Hicks got so mad, he burned down the house. Hicks' girlfriend came back to pick him up, but a witness had already dialed 911, gave authorities the tag number, and followed their car into town.

Investigators released the girlfriend after questioning and charged Hicks with arson.
