DECATUR COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

DECATUR COUNTY, GA (WALB) –Nearly 16-months after their homes were flooded, some Decatur County property owners will get money from FEMA to rebuild their homes.

People in the Slough Loop Road area will get 3.4 million dollars to repair and rebuild their homes.

Their property was damaged by flooding in spring 2009.

"I thank God it did come to help them," says Slough Loop resident Patricia Williams. "And they fixed the road back. For the first time yesterday I went through it and that's been a year and a half."

An informational meeting for the 16 property owners eligible for the grant will be held next Tuesday at the County Administration Building in Bainbridge.
