ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The Democratic nominee for Lt. Governor campaigned in Albany on Wednesday.
Carol Porter is a newspaper executive from Dublin.
She was one of several candidates who talked to students, staff and faculty at a forum at Darton College this afternoon.
Porter says young voters have a lot at stake.
"This is where the minds of the future are nurtured. This is where the people who will create the jobs are learning today. We cannot keep balancing the budget on education when there are so many programs that are costing the taxpayer dollars," she said.
The forum featured several candidates from both parties, including District 150 State Representative Winfred Dukes and challenger Karen Kemp.
