ALBANY, GA (WALB) –   Georgia NAACP President Edward DuBose said the Albany officers were removed from their positions for violating the constitutional bylaws and the branch has now been re-organized.

The new interim president Marvin Jones, along with six other interim officers were introduced Tuesday.

"If you are sending donations and it is not coming to the established leadership we put in place, you need to understand that up front when you give your money if you understand that and say okay we still want to write a check to this group that's fine," said DuBose.

Reorganization is effective immediately, and elections will be held later on in the year.
