ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  A Cordele man was killed and another was injured in a two car collision Monday night in Sumter County.

Investigators say the driver of a Ford Pick-up was not wearing his seat belt when he crashed into a Chevrolet pickup.

The crash happened on Highway 280 just west of Lamar Road.

Investigators say 52-year-old concert promoter Tommy Haire was heading east when he lost control,  over-corrected, and collided with Jeremy Law's truck.

Haire was killed. Law was transported to Phoebe Sumter Hospital where he remains in satisfactory condition.

Investigators say Law was wearing a seat belt.
