ALBANY, GA (WALB) –A new and updated design is coming to the Dougherty County school system. School officials went to Albany Technical college for some inspiration.

So, students in the graphic arts department at Albany Tech came up with some ideas.

Pamela Robinson's designs were chosen, she says she tried to incorporate the D and C for Dougherty County in her designs, as well as colors from all the high schools.

"I went to school in Dougherty County my mom has been a teacher for 30 years so just to give back to the community and the school system that made me the student and artist I am today, its a wonderful experience," said Robinson.

That doesn't mean the old design is going away, this is just a transition to an updated modern version. You could see the new logo as early as next month.
