ALBANY, GA (WALB) –

Albany Police chased down five suspected burglars Thursday afternoon in two separate incidents in East Albany thanks to alert neighbors.

Around noon neighbors reported four people breaking into a home on Georgetown Drive.

Officers got into a foot chase and caught two of the suspects.

Moments later someone else called from Pearce Avenue a couple of blocks away.

That person followed a group of burglars until Police arrived and chased the suspects into the woods off Mock Road.

Three suspects were taken into custody there.

No charges have been filed yet as Police continue to question the suspects.

Drug Unit and Gang Unit officers helped in those searches.
