VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –Two suspected armed robbers are in jail after robberies in different counties.

Around 11:30 Thursday night, a masked man walked into the Flash Foods on Saint Augustine Road in Valdosta.

Police say Bryan Hodges held up clerk Frank Butcher and got away with cash.

Just after midnight Saturday in Thomas County, there was a similar hold-up at the Kangaroo Convenience store.

"The Thomas County Sheriff's Office contacted our investigators," said Lt. Aaron Kirk. "Our investigators went to Thomas county and interviewed the suspects. Based on the interview and other evidence they we're able to obtain warrants from the armed robbery here in Valdosta."

Valdosta Police charged Hodges with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and charged Eric Clines with armed robbery party to the crime.

Hodges and Clines are both charged with armed robbery in Thomas County.
