ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Thousands are gathering in Albany this and next weekend for a faith based Assembly at the Civic Center.

It's day two of the Circuit Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses. More than 2,500 people showed up for the two day event.

This year's theme is 'You are no part of the world.'

There was music, scripture reading, and presentations from about a dozen speakers encouraging the crowd to keep their faith in today's world.

"Most people recognize that we're living in a world that's growing worse it's Satan dominated so the Christian needs to stand firm against the machination of the devil and here we're getting refresher courses from the scripture showing how it can stand firm in a world that's going the other way," Roger Montgomery, Assembly Overseer.

Next weekend the Tallahassee area assembly will meet at the civic center. The public is invited.
