LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) - One church is providing a safe community for families and children, helping in the fight against violence and give people something fun to do this weekend.

The Church of Leesburg held a community explosion next to A-1 Auto in Lee County. People of all ages enjoyed free food, games, and entertainment.

Organizers say they just want to give back to the community and give people a safe activity to take part in.

"We're creating an atmosphere where everyone can come and enjoy this outreach ministry," said Trish Batton.

This was the second annual event of its kind in Lee county.
