ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Neighbors help Albany Police chase young burglars that boldly broke into a home.

Nearly a dozen Albany Police units raced up and down the streets and alleys near

9th Avenue about 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

Neighbors heard the window break at Bob Whitfield's house, and called 9-1-1 as the two teenagers trying to get inside. Officers quickly swarmed the neighborhood, catching one teenage suspect.  The other one got away. Neighbors like Donald Robine said they are tired of crime on their streets.

"We got kids who are casing the neighborhood. I've had two lawnmowers stolen off my porch over here, "said Robine.

Several of the neighbors said they were very glad to see the quick Police response. Police said this kind of community support will help them stop the burglary problems.
