MACON, GA (WALB) –  A Cairo mail carrier was convicted of Theft of Mail, in Macon Federal Court Tuesday.

 The U. S. Attorney said that 60-year-old Renee Garrett  embezzled various items of mail addressed to other people from July, 2005 through November, 2007.

 Garrett's sentencing will be scheduled by the Court in approximately sixty days.
