ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Monday was the first day on the job for Albany's new downtown manager. Aaron Blair got situated in his office and met with city officials and other staff he'll be working with.

He says he's excited to begin work here after serving as the project manager for Living World Family Church in Naples, Florida. He managed 16 people for a congregation of 1,100.

"I'm getting to know everyone here at the Economic Development Counsel, at the Chamber and here in the office," said Blair. "I'm sure in a month, come back and I'll have some more ideas."

Blair says he has a lot of new ideas for downtown but will need some time before he explains them in detail. He'll take over a position last held by Don Buie who served jail time for theft of city money.
