Car slams into train car

Albany - An 85-year old woman was pulled from her crushed car in East Albany this morning after she slammed into a train.

The woman was driving south on Adkins Street, and when she reached the stop sign at Adkins and East Broad, she hit the gas instead of the brake.

Her car sped across Broad and into a railroad yard where it slammed into a parked rail car.

The front of her car was lodged underneath the rail car.

The woman was not seiously injured but was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
