ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police arrested a teenager for carrying a weapon after being convicted of a felony.
Here is the official police report:
On October 7, 2010 at approximately 1110 hours, Detectives with the Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit observed a suspicious male hanging out around a convenience store in the 1300 block of North Troup Street.
The Detectives approached the subject, later identified as Kenneth Fountain, and during a consensual search, they found a handgun concealed on his person.
The Detectives discovered that Fountain became a convicted felon after he plead guilty to aggravated assault for an incident in 2008 in which he was charged for shooting someone.
Fountain was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and he was taken to the Lowndes County Jail.
