CORDELE, GA (WALB) – For the third time in two weeks, a member of the military from our area has been killed in the line of duty.
21-year old Coty Sockalosky, a Marine from Cordele, died Wednesday at a U.S. military hospital in Germany. He was wounded late last week in an IED blast in Afghanistan.
Sockalosky was a 2007 graduate of Crisp County High School. His wife and mother traveled to Germany to be with him after he was wounded. The family has not made funeral arrangements.
