ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany's next downtown manager is ready to start his new job.

Wednesday the Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority officially named Aaron Blair as ADICA's director.

He'll also be the city's downtown manager.

Blair is a former urban planner and the Executive Director and Project Manager for Living World Family Church in Naples, Florida.

Interim ADICA director James Taylor thinks Blair will make positive changes downtown.

"He's a trained planner and he has a lot experience in development kind of things, and as ADICA director he has the experience that will help us move forward," said Taylor.

Blair's first day on the job is Monday. Former downtown manager Don Buie went to jail last summer for theft of city money.
