CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Lee County Lady Trojans beat Hardaway 6-0 at the region 1-AAAA tournament on Wednesday.
The win guarantees the Lady Trojans a berth in the GHSA AAAA state softball tournament.
The news was not as good for Thomas County Central.
The Lady Yellow Jackets lost 4-2 to Northside-Columbus and ended their season.
Lee County then beat Northside-Columbus 1-0 to give the Lady Patriots fourth place.
Northside-Warner Robins beat Houston County 1-0 in 9 innings to advance to the championship game.
Lee County plays Houston County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
The winner advances to face Northside-Warner Robins in the region championship game at 5:45 p.m..
In 1-AAA tournament, Worth County beat Crisp County 9-3 to advance to the championship match.
Crisp County plays Cairo at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in Sylvester and the winner faces the Lady Rams in the championship game that starts at 4:00 p.m..
