LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) –A retailer donated a million dollars in school supplies to a thousand teachers across the nation Wednesday.

One of the surprise special deliveries was made at a Lowndes County Elementary School.

OfficeMax presented Moulton Branch Elementary teacher Gail Keel with a box full of supplies. Keel showed off a new camera, markers, and binders to her students. The award is part of the "A Day Made Better" program.

"The box is full of so many supplies for my students and our classroom uses so many supplies each day so they will certainly come in handy and we will enjoy those supplies all year," said Keel.

OfficeMax and Adopt-A-Classroom founded "A Day Made Better" to help teachers who often spend their own money in their classroom.
