Worth County, GA (WALB) –  A car slammed into a pickup truck on Highway 82 east Monday afternoon just inside the Worth County line.

The car then skidded down an embankment and overturned. It came to rest on its roof on some railroad tracks about 50 yards off the road.

We don't know the name of driver a red Dodge. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital.

Gerald Camp, the driver of the Ford Ranger he clipped, said he stopped to pick up a bag that blew out of the bed of his truck.

The wreck happened around 3:30 and shut down one eastbound lane of 82.

Witnesses say the driver was talking to paramedics when they removed him from the car. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
