ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Some people opposed to abortion took a stand to deliver a message at a busy Albany intersection.

About 40-people stood in a single line for about an hour at the Nottingham-Ledo Road intersection holding signs that read "Abortion Kills Children" and "Abortion Hurts Women."

It's part of the Life Chain, a prayer event where pro-life supporters stand along the road holding signs praying for God to deliver America from abortion.

"One third of every baby conceived in the womb is killed through abortion, that's a third of our population every year, so we are pleading with God to heal our nation of this we know they are women out there going through dark times," Debby Sapp, Event Coordinator.

The line stretched from Grand Island almost to Walmart. Organizers say they got several honks of support.
