ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A police chase in south Albany Friday night ended with a crash and two drivers going to jail.

Just before nine, a driver tried to avoid a State Patrol road block on West Gordon Avenue.

He sped away from troopers, crashed into another car at Gordon and Shadowlawn, then tried to run.

Troopers caught him and also arrested the driver he crashed into for DUI.

"The driver fled the road check with two troopers in pursuit it lasted approximately two to three miles, then the fleeing vehicle crashed," said Sgt. Tommy Peeples, Georgia State Patrol.

You see the suspect there on the ground.

We couldn't get his name, but he faces numerous traffic offenses and a felony marijuana charge.
