ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Dougherty County Police are searching for a man who robbed at least two stores by grabbing cigarettes and running.

He was caught on tape.  Take a look at this brazen crook.

Around midnight September 26th he asks a clerk at the Flash Foods at Highway 19 and Holly Drive for two cartons of Newports.

Notice he's holding money as if he's ready to pay.

When the clerk puts the cigarettes on the counter, the man picks them up and takes off.

Three nights later Police think the same man did the same thing at Big E's Country Store on Cordele Road.

They say it's happened at other stores, and they want to warn clerks.

Dougherty County Police Captain Jimmy Sexton said " And we really don't know if this person could be violent or not. So we need to let them know they need to be cautious."

If you recognize this man, call CRIME STOPPERS at 436-TIPS.

You could earn a reward.
