ALBANY, GA (WALB) –We have a happy ending to a story we brought you two weeks ago about a homeless man who needed emergency surgery.

Members of an Albany church were searching for 48-year-old Donald McCloud who had a mass on his brain that will cause blindness.

Thanks to one of our viewers, they found McCloud in an abandoned house dehydrated and nearly blind.

Church members tracked down his brother in Florida who took him home Thursday to get the surgery he needs.

"We are truly thankful and we thank God he was found alive because things were looking dim for him," said Frank Wright.

"We thank God for there still being some good people out there when something like this happens to get in and help," said Saints of God House of Worship Pastor Arthur Lee Wright.

Members of the Saints of God House of Worship say they want to thank everyone who helped find McCloud and support their homeless ministry.
