ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A candidate running for a seat on Georgia's top court says he has the right experience for the job.

Matt Wilson brought his campaign for the Georgia Supreme Court to Albany Thursday. He practices law in metro Atlanta and has 35-years of trial experience.

Wilson says he'll work hard to protect your rights and ensure that justice is served.

"It's important to be impartial and not to decide a case except upon the basis of the law, facts and the constitution. It's difficult for you to put your own views aside sometimes but it's what you have to do it is what the job requires," said Matt Wilson, Georgia Supreme Court Candidate.

Wilson hopes to replace David Nahmias who was appointed by the Governor to fill a vacant seat on the court last year.
