ALBANY, GA (WALB) – All over the country Thursday, Judges met face to face with high school students, but not because the kids are in trouble.

The Just the Beginning Foundation sponsored the Robes in Schools program.  Thursday at Albany High School, Judges told students about their paths to law school and the bench, as well as tips about careers in law.

Albany High School has a Law and Justice magnet program to prepare students for post secondary education in the legal field.  Instructor Lynn Miller said, "Students who are interested in becoming a lawyer or becoming a police officer or a correctional officer, anything in the legal field, they can come and take three courses which will prepare them for a career in law and justice."

Criminal Justice Students from Albany State University also visited Albany High.  They help mentor the high school students who are interested in the legal field.
