ALBANY, GA (WALB) – You may not be thinking about Christmas yet, but retailers are as they prepare for the holiday shopping season, many are hiring.

Toys "R" Us just announced they'll hire 45,000 seasonal employees nationwide.

They wouldn't talk to us about positions in Albany, but 13 openings at the Albany store are now posted on the job board at Goodwill's Career Center.

"They're already getting it out there we've already seen several of our local employers putting it out there for seasonal, even though it's a temporary position a lot of times we find employers come back and call those seasonal workers back in, a lot of times it runs into permanent work," said Crystal Askew, Goodwill Career Center Manager.

Goodwill normally sees a spike in job openings this time of year.
