LEESBURG, GA (WALB) – Lee County Commissioners voted Tuesday night to rename the county's new animal shelter the Fifth Friday Foundation Animal Shelter. That charitable group, organized by Musculoskeletal Associates in Albany, donated more than $215,000 for the project. Without that donation, the county would not have had the money to complete the shelter.
