By Jade Bulecza - bio | email

BROOKS COUNTY, GA (WALB) –Storms knocked out power to hundreds people in Brooks County Sunday night.

Colquitt EMC says about 300 customers lost power.

Some of the outages were caused by fallen trees, others by lightning.

The City of Quitman reported no outages.

Brooks County resident Eloise Still says she's just glad for the rain.

"I was glad to see it," Eloise Still. "I love the rain but you know that lightning and all scares me but that comes with it. We needed it. Everything is dry around here."

Monday night, the power is back on to all those customers who had interruptions.
