THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –Gold bows are lining sidewalks in downtown Thomasville to raise awareness of childhood cancer.
Each bow represents a child who is fighting cancer or has lost his or her life to the disease.
The campaign was started by the Johnson family whose daughter Julia is currently battling leukemia.
"We love seeing the bows down here," says Lauren Carol who works at Loli's downtown. "I know one of the mother's who has a child with cancer so it really means a lot for people to purchase the ribbons and give donations to that cause."
If you'd like to support the campaign, you can buy a bow for $10 through the end of the week in downtown Thomasville.
All proceeds will be donated to the Cure Research Foundation.
