By Shayne Wright  - bio | email

A trio of Albany State backs found the endzone as the number 21 Rams doubled Savannah State in the first ever Rumble in the Swamp game 28-14.  Albany State rushed for 291 yards and 3 scores thanks to touchdowns from LiRonnie Davis, Kareem Hess and Robert Welton.

Stanley Jennings passed for 174 yards and a 6 touchdown pass to Christopher Oliver in the second quarter that put the Rams up by 14.

Albany State pitched a shutout in the first half and held the Tigers to 78 yards on the ground through 4 quarters.  Savannah State scored two touchdowns in the second half but their efforts did little to rattle the Rams as Albany State remains undefeated and improves to 4-0.

The Rams are back home next week against Lane College.
