ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Golf Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez marking a big anniversary with her annual Hospice Golf Tournament at the Doublegate Country Club this weekend.This marks the 25th anniversary for a little tournament that has grown into one of the biggest events on the fall calendar.

The first tournament had just seven groups.
This year's event once again has two flights of four-player teams.
Lopez naturally reflecting on a quarter century of friends, golf and raising money for a cause so dear to her heart.
She is very happy to see the Willson Hospice House open and says the challenge for the community is to keep raising money so Hospice can provide the services to so many families.
Nancy also wants to share the success of this tournament.
Nancy Lopez said. "I always get the thank you's but all the people who put on the event. All the hard work that they do for a whole year basically to have this event. All the guys that come back and the ladies. We have got some ladies who are playing this year. It is just a pat on everybody's back for doing it."
The Lopez Hospice weekend concludes Saturday with a youth clinic at the First Tee Course.
