THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –Thomasville police are warning people to lock their cars after a car was stolen during a string of car entries.

Authorities say a Honda Accord stolen Tuesday night was unlocked with keys left inside.

The car entries happened on Patterson and East Washington streets.

The stolen Accord was recovered the next morning but a purse containing over $700 left inside was missing.

Ten other vehicles entered that night were also unlocked.

Police encourage people to park in well-lit areas, lock their vehicles at night and take any valuables out of the car. They also want people to report any suspicious people or noises in the area.
