ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany city commissioner says he'll continue to push for an ordinance against saggy pants.  Tommie Postell is trying to drum up support in the community to make sure he can get it passed.

Postell says he's tired of seeing the underwear of people walking down the streets or sitting in restaurants.  He's says it goes beyond inappropriate, it's lewd conduct and he's working with community members, teachers, and church leaders to do something about it.

He said, "These things are going to benefit the community, I think and that's why I'm pushing it.  I'm not anti-kids dressing and relaxing with their fad as long as it's not indecent exposure."

Postell plans to bring a draft ordinance back before the full commission during the next work session, October 5th.
